BV Contracting was founded in 1991 by Barry Van Zilen. Over the years, BV has become an extremely successful business, priding itself on efficiency and excellence. We offer a completely turn-key project management approach and include everything from complete budgeting to project management and design services. Meet Barry Van Zilen
|
With over thirty years of business experience, Barry Van Zilen has built a reputation for quality and excellence in general contracting services throughout the metro-Atlanta area. Born and raised in New York State, Barry is a fourth generation craftsman. His first job was in his Father’s cabinet making and remodeling business. By the age of 16, Barry was working for his father as a full-time employee. While attending high school and vocational school simultaneously, he handled various projects from general labor to specialty cabinetry. After completing both high school and vocational school, Barry completed his apprenticeship at his father’s business at the age of 20. Barry then went to work full time for Kline Construction, a framing company. At Kline, Barry learned the in’s and out’s of the framing industry and was promoted to a management position after only nine short months. His management duties included supervising the framing division. After approximately 1½ years, Barry left Kline Construction to work for Squire Home Products, a company specializing in window replacement, siding installation, and roofing. Hired as an entry-level apprentice, he advanced after approximately one year to a supervisory position. In 1991, Barry moved to Atlanta, Georgia and founded B.V. Contracting. Over the years, B.V. has become an extremely successful business priding itself on efficiency and excellence. B.V.’s client base has grown by word of mouth referrals. Barry currently resides in Cumming, GA with his family and is a member of Northpoint Community Church.
